BR 2-01: The Dragon Dance

"They wanted to do the dragon dance." (Hunt, 1997, p. 5)

I chose this book because I didn't know about " the dragon dance". So I interested in this book.

This story is Mrs May and the children make a dragon. It was make of paper. They enjoyed painting its body, head and so on. And they also enjoyed the dragon dancing. But when they enjoyed dancing, the dragon tore in half. So the children were disappointed. But their mums had an good idea and they made the dragon again. The dragon was bigger than before. So it looked wonderful! The children were very happy. So they enjoyed the dragon dance again!

After I read this book, I wanted to do the dragon dance with them. I looked very interesting. But when I was an elementary school child, there was a " Kikuchi Hakuryuu Festival" near my house. It was a very big white dragon. And it had a long body. They danced inside the head and body. It was very powerful. I was afraid when I saw its dragon first time. But I am looking forward to seeing the dragon dance every year. But recently I can't this dragon dance. So I feel regret. But there are a lot of dragon dance festival in Japan. Sometimes I watched it at TV.

I want you to read this book. And I want you to know about this dragon dance! It was very interesting book and I think that it makes you happy!

Something special I did during vacation

In August, I became 20 years old. So next year I will join coming of age ceremony. And I took some pictures at picture studio with my family before coming of age ceremony this spring vacation, I chose my favorite furisode. I like it very much!

While I taking pictures, I was very nerves. Because my parents and my sister looked at me. So I could not make smile. It was difficult for me to make smile! But I think they were good picture. And my friends show me their pictures. They are very beautiful!!!

It was a very good experience!

Good and bad points about summer

In this summer vacation, I made many good memories.

For example, in September, I went to Korea with my friends. It was the first time to go abroad. But my friend went abroad in Korea. So she could speak Korean people. I think she is very smart! In Korea we enjoyed shopping, eating Korean food and talking each other. Especially, I enjoyed shopping very much! I bought cosmetics, Korean foods, and souvenir. And so on there. I had a very good traveling!

This is the good point about summer!

Bad point about summer was part-time job. In summer vacation, my shop was very busy. Especially lantern festival. But did my best. I have to work, so I could not play with my friends enough.

How I study during the vacation

When I go to school, I can study English with my friends and teachers. But during the summer vacation I can't. So I want to study various subjects during the summer vacation at my home.

For example, I want to study Korean. Because in this summer vacation, I am going to go Korea with my friends. I have never been to abroad. So I want to communicate with foreign people. But I haven't study Korean. So I want my friend to teach Korean! And when I go to Korea, I want to exchange greetings with people! So I study hard in this summer vacation!

What Classes I Will Take

I will take 15 classes in the fall term. I took 13 classes in the spring term. For example, I will take political science, American history, Japanese history, biology, writing, reading and so on. In spring term, I took writing class. This is difficult for me to write my blog first time. But I could write English sentences. So I could book reviews, too! And I like to watch my class member's blogs. My friend's blogs are very interesting and I like to watch their pictures. So in fall term do my best and I will try to write various things.
